The 2014 vintage in Cahors showed exceptional climatic conditions in September and October, with sunny days and soft autumn breezes that played an important role in the grapes’ maturity. This vintage produced red wines with pronounced colors and supple tannins.
Grapes sourced from a single vineyard site on the limestone slopes of Prayssac which is rich in limestone alterite.
Fermentation in concrete vats for 14 to 21 days. Aged 17-18 months in a concrete vat.
This Malbec is about elegance. It has a fine grain texture with a vertical structure. It is a fruity, expressive wine, very persistent in the palate. The finish provides the limestone tannins one would expect from the soils of Cahors.
